The old jeans can be used as a new one just by simply distressing it. These distressed jeans not only look new but also offers a funky look to the wearers.
How to distress?
Fade the dye
The color of old jeans usually get fade due to regular washing as well as wear and tear, but if the color of your jeans haven’t fade then try to get it done. For that, you can make a mixture of water and bleach 50-50. Apply the mixture of your jeans with a paint brush to give a streaky look to your jeans in different areas according to your needs. After applying the bleach and water keep it aside to get the water set for overnight and wash the jeans in the morning. You will see that color of the jeans gets fade.
Try to damage it
When the color of the jeans gets fade, try to use different objects like a razor, sandpaper, scissors and bobby pins to damage it. Rub the sandpaper on the thighs and knees area of the jeans to make it softer. Use the bobby pins to make small holes on the thighs and back pocket of the jeans, make a small cut on the knee area to make it funky. Use the razor to fray the pocket edges of the jeans. The most important thing is to do this with extra care and gentle hands to avoid unrepaired damage.
